It does indeed to relate to activity in the search dialogue, before the pages in the component are opened. I have updated the blog posting.David Kurtzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00924323960047469300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25740336.post-31237590832061025752010-11-06T18:46:30.448+00:002010-11-06T18:46:30.448+00:00Hi David

Unless used in exactly the right place then all that the game would respond was "Nothing Happens". Its a no-op in a few places, perhaps peoplesoft as well. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xyzzy for example.Niallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07109750882834293686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25740336.post-59028713043057720402010-11-04T23:08:29.733+00:002010-11-04T23:08:29.733+00:00I have see the xyzzy reference at times when an ap...I have see the xyzzy reference at times when an app server crashes building a component, e.g. I was playing with stylesheets and removed some styles that must have some hardcoded use in the component processor, and I remember seeing xyzzy on the page somewhere. I suspect it's some internal placeholder you aren't supposed to see - it may be related to search/prompt records.

Doesn't explain why you see it there though.Banksyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05839931395300070482noreply@blogger.com
