The default value for this parameter is 0. If the parameter is not present add it and set it to 1. ASH_SECS is the column alias I use in my scripts for the amount DB Time. So when working with ASH data you could 10 seconds of DB time for each row on DBA_HIST_ACTIVE_SESS_HISTORY.
